Morning run on Warren-Manette bridges route, very quiet and nice outside. My legs were very stiff, but that's what you get after a week of almost no running and a lot of standing at the track yesterday. Left hamstring and hip still bothering me tonight, after some yardwork. No watch.

Basketball in the a.m., we played really hard for 3-on-3 today.

Met with Mike after track practice, he's back from Japan for a short time. Really great to run with him again, it's been more than a year. We ran from the high school and did the bridges loop backward, plus through downtown and Evergreen. 32 minutes or so.

I intended to race this one, not because I could PR but because it would have been interesting to see where I'm at. But I decided to pace my cousin Alicia instead, since I had kind of talked her into running anyway. That made for an easier run (at times I wished I was racing) but a fun run. We ran slowly for the first mile, missed the split but it was probably over 9 minutes due to crowds (seriously, it's the worst at the back of a fun run with thousands. I could go on and on, it kind of made me not like running). Then we came back with a better second mile, hit the 2-mile mark just over 16 minutes. Then a 7:45, over the bridge (uphill) and toward the hospital, then a great 6:53, when it was fun to see Alicia push as the crowds thinned (though I passed a guy texting around mile 4 -- seriously, he was texting). Then another quick mile to finish on the Husky Stadium field, which was a little longer than the usual finish. Anyway, good day to stretch the legs, plus a mile warmup to the stadium.
